Welcome to the TAS Lunar Gallery!This section presents images of our Moon in a variety of ways. Each section can be selected directly by clicking on its title in the navigation box at the lower right of the screen. The Lunar Feature Map presents an image of the full moon over which you can move your mouse pointer to identify and select features ('seas', craters, etc). Many of these features can then be selected for detailed viewing just by clicking on them. The Lunar Feature List presents the same features by name. The Lunar Eclipse gallery shows images of Lunar Eclipses (when the Moon goes into the Earth's shadow). The Lunar Views gallery shows some of the more unusual views of the Moon captured by members of the TAS along with high-definition mosaics of several lunar regions. |
